If you read Anime Comics, here are a few good suggestions.
Monster, by Naoki Urasawa. They have a TV series.
20th Century Boys, by Naoki Urasawa.

but i tend to like acoustic and stuff that doesn't really fit into any genre.
so basically which animes do you like?

I also watch pretty much everything.
Bloodhit and WiQ gave pretty good series already, so I'm not gonna repeat them :D

I suggest Natsume Yuuchinchou (and the sequels, Zoku Natsume Yuuchinchou, NY San and NY Shi)
It's about a boy who can see ghosts and spirits. He gets into trouble with them and has trouble making friends since other kids think he is acting weird.

Another one I liked was Major. It's about a boy who wants to become a Major league baseball player. His dad was a pro but was killed in a game, and the kid wants to challenge the player who caused his fathers death.

Great Teacher Onizuka is also nice. An ex-biker gang leader becomes a high-school teacher, and is given the most troublesome class to deal with. Hilarity ensues.
