Re: The Math Thread

It's good to know I was right, but I wasted my mind processing power XD
At least you didn't waste 3 hours of comuter processing power on top of 3 hours of mental processing power proving that your initial hypothesis was wrong. :P

And dat math. It beautiful!

Re: Pastel Community Game project and discussion

Normally when I want to draw something it takes me around 1 hour or 2, sometimes less, sometimes more. Also with real life interferring on my work, sometimes I have to work a bit on it everyday until it's finished. So I don't have a definite answer D: That was more or less what I was looking for. I...

Re: The Math Thread

DVan is right. You can also use a Dirichlet series to see that when it exists it converges to ζ(a)*ζ(a-1) - ζ(a-1) = ζ(a-1)*(ζ(a) - 1), and when a=2 you get the multiplying term ζ(1), which is the harmonic series and diverges (I tend to use the more visual word "explodes" for that :P ). D...

Re: Do you belive in 21.12.2012?

It's because humans would much rather follow their emotions and their pleasure than facts. This extends to all aspects of life, but especially things like this, where people get...I don't even know what. Maybe it has to do with the overindulging before the end or something. This pretty much explains...

Re: The "Layer influenced behavior" theory

This just goes to show how much I've been out of the Submachine Theorizing loops...O.o LOL, well, it has been a while (in terms of our Theorizing quickness) since Sub8 came out, so, yes, you may want to read up on some things :P Nonetheless, it's all Theory, so you can ignore most of it just as wel...

Re: The "Layer influenced behavior" theory

Which brings up another question: can multiple copies of a person exist in a dimension if the person moves from one dimension to another? Or does the other version end up getting moved to the first copy's dimension? Or could they meet up? I don't think that's the case here. I believe someone confir...

O_O My worst nightmare XD

Even then, I WILL PROTECT MY OFF-TOPIC FROM HARM. THIS. IS. SPARTA.
Challenge Accepted. >: D

Edit:
Never mind. Not when I don't have time. :P

Re: The Math Thread

There's not much on topic I have to say right now; I'm mostly studying infinite sums and products now. I do have a question I've been thinking about lately though. Does the infinite series s(k)/k^2, where s(k) is equal to the sum of the divisors of k except for k itself, converge? The terms are rel...
