Re: Identify yourselves!

Don't worry. We don't discriminate against any agegroups, genders, races, etc. on this forum.
We only discriminate against a-holes.

So if you are chill, and you aren't here to troll or otherwise annoyingly bring attention to yourself, welcome to Pastel Forum...3.0?

Re: Identify yourselves!

For the same basic reason behind why I left originally: I have too many projects going on at the present on top of schoolwork to have time to catch up on the convos here and chat. :P

Re: The Math Thread

Basically, from what I've heard anyways, some professors want to replace pi with tau, where tau = 2*pi. I'm not the most researched in it, but from what I've heard, they argue that using Tau will make radial math much easier to learn, as the sine of tau is symmetric, and 2*pi pops up a lot more freq...

Re: Video Games

I am not buying a Wii U... yet. There's no true killer-app for me yet (except perhaps ZombiiU, but that's not enough for me.) Agreed. Waiting for Bayonetta 2, and possibly Pikmin 3 >: D Steam: dvantheawesome, although don't expect me to show much activity there. Maybe eventually, when I get a new m...

Re: The Math Thread

Ah, well I see then! I personally am not a fan of tau, merely because it's a larger number, and thus it would make things like radians and exponential Fourrier series a lot more inconvenient to write out, due to the increased numbers of fractions. That, and if there were to be some big change in the...

Re: The Math Thread

Also, pi in general doesn't occur very often in logarithms or exponentials at all unless you're applying them to complex numbers, so you're kind of just giving an overall topic and then stating all of the things it includes. Well yeah, but all sinusoids can be decomposed into complex exponentials, ...
