I've seen the new Resident Evil 7 game through the entirety.
It was good. If you are pondering whether or not to buy it, its worth your money.

Judging from let's plays I've been watching of it, it looks amazing. makes me wish I had a Windows computer. then again I'd be too scared and probably chicken out.

I read several reviews and they all said RE7 is great and a true return-to-form for the series that evoke memories of the classic RE1. The game starts to sound more like Alien: Isolation which I loved the hell out of it.

Except for boss fights, in which all of them said they suck. Which is a shame because I am sucker for great boss fights like RE4 (one of best games ever made, period).

If the game would be on Mac or Nintendo Switch, I would consider getting it. But I don't know...

I decided to start small talk about your gamer habits in games.
:D

Starting with mine:

--------------------

Current habits:

1) RELOADING!!!

You shot one bullet in submachine gun? Reloading!!!

2) 100% exploration / 100% pixel hunting.

Playing submachines, I am stuck on single screen for minute, enjoying its beauty and searching for one possible active missing pixel.

I have just finished one awesome game that was made for speed gameplay. 5 minutes for each level...
I use 50 minutes for each level, after checking each centimeter of floors and walls. гг

But you know what?

I like it!!!

It's my style of gameplay.

3) Not using combat and melee weapons if having range weapons.

Not using AT ALL. In RTS and Action games.
I just keep say to myself: "What? Melee units? NO! They're so weak, they can't even reach us under our fire!"

meh...

4) Talking with unliving creatures: Games, devices, game characters, etc.

Pure descending into game atmosphere.
Commenting characters's actions.
Talking to nowhere "Did you see? I PRESSED that key! I PRESEED, but she disdn't jump!!! Did you see???"

oh lol

5) Shouting at unliving things: Games, keyboard, game characters, etc.

I guess we, people, have to release our inner hot steam on unliving things than on our beloved...

But really, somethimes you can cross the line. It happened with me when during small time period many years ago I used to hit my keyboard VERY HEAVILY.

6)

NEVER.
USE.
WALKTHROUGHS
AND
HINTS.

ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU ARE STUCK FOR LESS THAN DAYS.

ESPECIALLY WHEN AUTHOR MAKES THIS GAME FOR YEARS.

or I will come after you...

*sigh*

Forget it. ;)

Do what you need to do.

Glad I will never join your so called "collective gameplay".

7) Making your own tasks and quests.

Game objective tells you need to simply destroy enemy base?
No! You tell yo yourself: You must CAPTURE all buildings. Without making ANY shot. And before that, you must get 32000 resource units.

You Play Action game? Use only one weapon during the whole game!!!

Etc. In different game genres, in all posiible situations. I can create any task for myself. :3

8) Kill them all!!!

If you can kill enemies, you must find and kill ALL of them. Even if it's not main objective. Even if it's wiser to stay away and avoid them. Even if it's not purpose of game.

9) Get them all!!!

If you collect items, you must find and collect ALL of them.

You MUST get EVERYTHING that is possible to get in game.

10) Hit fingers on the desk.

When you are in tense situation... When you are preparing to something grand... I like to play "finger music", with pressing on them with all my might. I have special place for that on the desk, near my mouse and keyboard. :)

------------------

Former habits:

1) Loading save file after each small insignificant mistake.

What? You killed 32 enemies in hard fight, and they managed to take one HP from you?
LOADING SAVE FILE!!!

glad now I accept my failures and move forward...

2) Making save each 10 seconds

What to say...

it's fun. Especially when you make save, and get killed one second after, screwing your entire game progress

3) Achieve them all!!!

Get all game achievements!!!!...

NOPE. Thank you, damn Steam, for gifting me this habit. But I won't spend all my life trying to get your stupid achievements. Not anymore.

I have enough habits to spend a lot of time in game already.

4) Using walkt... :? /Using hin... :? :?

No! It's a lie. I never used that! That... forbidden words in first years!

I beat all quest flash games, including some first submachines, without any hint! 8-)

I swear!

I swear...

...

----------

What habits do you have?

These 4, I do them everytime XD I'm obsessive-compulsive with 100% finishing every game, and I hum songs/hit fingers on the desk when I'm focused.

talking to imaginary characters. however, I do it quite often, so technically not a gamer habit.

Ever played "Kveendolnitza"? These little PNCs made my evening. They are kind of old, but the artwork is remarkable and sweet, sort of "Machinarium meets Tiny Bang Story". And no one has posted yet, as far as I can tell. So, here it is.
