I'm afraid not, based on some light research. The Arleigh Burke-class destroyer, currently in use by the U.S Navy has a draft of 30.5 feet (Which is the height from the bottom of the hull to the waterline.) According to some research, the Saint Lawrence Seaway is only 27 feet deep upstream from Montreal. So, an Arleigh Burke-class destroyer could get to Montreal, but not much futher, and certainly not to Lake Mitchigan. Even the Spruance-class destroyers, which were decomissioned in 2005, had a draft of 29 feet, so they wouldn't be able to fit either. You could easily get a world war two era Gearing class destroyer down there though; they have a draft of only 14.3 feet.

Can you recommend a U.S. Navy Class vessel that can fit some mission requirements.

- Work in canals like the Saint Lawrence River to get to my required point A to Point B.
- Can do long range mission alone, while being able to do land deployment on a scouting scale.
- Debris clearances, part of the path in the story will required the ship being able to remove debris in the river such as collapse bridges.
- Can be outfitted with advance Communication equipment. (Doesn't have to have advance Communication equipment on board standard, but it has the space or slots that gives it the ability to be outfitted with the Advance Communication Equipment.)

Independence-class littoral combat ship may be a possible candidate, but I am not entirely sure.

So, I took a look around online. The Independence-class littoral combat ship does indeed seem to be a good candidate, as does the Oliver Hazard Perry-class frigate.

Both have dimensions well within the maximum allowed vessel sizes for the Saint Lawrence River. In fact, the Oliver Hazard Perry-class have operated in the great lakes on previous occasions.

The Oliver Hazard Perry-class have a range of 5200 miles, while the Indepence-class has a range of 4750 miles at comparabled speeds, so both would be able to operate on long range missions if they had adequate fuel and supplies, and enough to travel up the St Lawrence without refueling. Similarly, both ships have the capability to hold two Sikorsky SH-60 helicopters, and so would be able to deploy 10 men onto land using those, not to mention fire support. The Oliver Hazard Perry-class has a complement (crew) of 176 men, while the Independence-class requires 40 men, with a possible additional 35.

I'm not the sure about debris clearence. They both have ample weaponary to destroy blockages in the river, for sure, but I don't know if that would be effective in unblocking seaways and canals such as the Sant Lawrence, especially if locks were destroyed.

I'd say for sure that both could be fitted with advanced communication equipment. The're probably space on board, and would come fitted with radios and probably satelite phones as well.

Anyway, sorry if I've been a bit brief, I was in a bit of a hurry.

Finally, I figure it out.
The problem I was having was implementing the condition of the Outpost into the story, or how to format in. Then poof, Radio Transmission Log.

For the preview of the Cassopolis Outpost chapter 7.
I need an honest review.
That means both criticism.
The regular Criticism and the Constructive Criticism.

Don't worry I will take what you have to say into account without any emotional outburst.
I need data to work with while I am writing this novel.

I am also thinking of revising the previous chapter with the bad writing in them.
I just need to know what you guys thought of the preview for the 7th chapter and the earlier chapters.
Again, I wish to stress I won't have anything against you guys for your honest opinion.
(For I feel my own Mother thoughts alone are not enough.)

The preview is interesting; completely different to what we've seen previously. I like the description, but there is still room for improvement: some of that figurative could be edited and made more effective. I think it's a lot better than the others, which I felt were more like a recall of events. Essentially it's just your lack of utilisation of these things listed here that bothered me about the previous chapters.

I like the use of the progress reports, telling a story in different ways is always good. It reminds of Mark Z. Danielewski, an American author a friend of mine told me about. Haven't read any of his books yet, but I'd like to read House of Leaves, which takes the form of an annotated report.
Balance is imperative; without it, total collapse and destruction is imminent.
