In Hong Kong (even Asia), most people will not like to play puzzle/escape games. They think they are super boring.
Also, they are busy with works. So they do not have much time to spend on puzzle/escape games.

Same, I don't think many people here would be interested in playing. But there's probably the option of playing with online friends through Discord or Skype
