Here's a 30-minute long ambient piece by C418 (the guy who made the Minecraft soundtrack) that sounds straight out of a Submachine game.

And yes, it was actually recorded with seven people wandering around, locked inside a pitch dark mausoleum. Imagine being there, in a tomb with a potentially enormous number of dead bodies buried in the walls, in total darkness. Hearing these weird, alien sounds in the distance.
