Re: rant board
.......Mine was easy.
Academic part, sure.
Driving, okay.
But when I took the test for my drivers license, I just barely pass.
And then my mother had to drive me home after the road test.
I was so stiffen up after the stressful Test I had to wait for myself to calm down after we got home.

Re: rant board
I don't want to drive. Just for not having that load over, and also cos I don't to contribute to global warming (Though that last one can be overdriven by buying an electric car).
Also, I enjoy a lot walking.

Random Fact about Anonymous #22
I don't drive nor own a car, haven't since 2005.
I took lessons and do have a valid license and do renew it every four years, but I'm the sort of guy who gets easily distracted and being distracted and driving do not mix well at all, and after a series of tickets and crashes, I traded my car in for a bike.
Yeah not having a car is a serious hurdle in my life, but Ive survived ten years without one, and still have gone places and done things on my own, I think I can go another ten without having one.
And also, I always found driving a car to be overwhelming, just got too anxious over it. I guess I can feel for Paranormal when he gets anxious about driving too.

Re: rant board
I couldn't imagine driving a longer route right after getting my license, either (but is that even going to happen? ) . So much stress and unknown situations.
The net is vast and infinite

So what, does Mat only respond to the most recent post in his thread and let the rest go to waste?

perhaps he's busy and/or didn't notice the posts.

I'm so baffled that my cousin is the only girl in my life.

I'm more baffled at the amount of straight men and women in my life, and hardly knowing any gay men or lesbian women, outside of the internet.

My biggest gripe about driving is using our freeway and highway systems. They're so hectic, and getting on them via the on-ramps is insane! I think the last time I successfully used a highway, was back when I came over to visit in Spring 2012. I got into one near-collision after that and have had trouble driving people to the airport or anywhere involving the use of high-speed roads since!

Yeah and our accident with that red van out near my old place didn't help out either. Granted, that guy was in the wrong though. Trying to pass us and we turn right into him, asshole. I actually understand the reasons you don't want to drive back out to Kalamazoo, especially given that I live downtown, and all the one way streets... We have more one way streets than Detroit does, and Detroit is 10x bigger than us. The fuck is wrong with that...Paranormal wrote:Gemini wrote: And also, I always found driving a car to be overwhelming, just got too anxious over it.
