Welcome to the forum of language, linguistics and speech, where we can contemplate and discuss languages and studying languages! :ugeek:

Perhaps we could start from my personal favourite; favourite words?

I have become enamoured to words with the end -id. These include; tepid, fetid, lurid, putrid, stupid, arid, pellucid, vivid and timid.

As in "a piece of art", or as in "thou art my paramour"?

EDIT: I will now continue my list of words ending in *id.

Morbid, flaccid, livid, turbid, rancid, rapid, rabid, placid, staid, viscid, acrid, marcid, tabid...

As in "Thou art quite handsome indeed."

And also I heard the official language of Hell is German.. written using the Cyrillic alphabet.
