Okay, the Pastel Forum Fanart Contest is prepared to start the 24th of this month. Here is the list of rules (EDIT: updated as of 31-8-2017):
-The competition will take place monthly, not counting periods of discontinuity. For the moment, the theme will be decided by a poll (previously: alternated between Submachine, Daymare Town and Miscellanea (which includes every other work from Mateusz, games or comics)).

-The contest is open to anyone who wants to enter. Even Mateusz Skutnik himself can in principle participate if he wants.

-You can submit up to three fanarts per contest. Any kind of fanart applies: fanfiction/stories, digital or hand-made drawings, photographs, sculptures, videos, Flash minigames, etc. Fanarts must be made by only one person, collaboration is not allowed.

-By entering the competition you are affirming that your submissions are solely your own original creation. Plagiarizing or making unfair use of other works in any way is strictly forbidden, either from Mateusz Skutnik or from anyone else. If you fail to comply with this rule you will be immediately banned from this contest and all the following ones.

-We reserve the right to disqualify fanarts which are offensive, racist, pornographic, defamatory or harmful in any way.

-The submission period takes place during the entire month (previously: on the last seven days of the month). Fanarts submitted after this period will not be eligible for the competition.

-The voting period takes place on the first four days of the month following the submission period. Only one vote per person is allowed, and you cannot vote for your own fanarts.

-A vote consists of the assignment of a number of points to each fanart, from 1 to N-M, where N is the total number of fanarts and M is the number of fanarts you have submitted (if any). For example, if there are five fanarts named A, B, C, D, E, then an example of a vote is:

A - 3 points
B - 4 points
C - 1 point
D - 2 points
E - 5 points

-Having a forum account is recommended, nevertheless you don't need one to submit your work (you must however provide contact information so that we can notify you if you win any prize). However, you will need an account to vote.

-Cheating is not allowed (e.g. asking other users to vote for you). Spamming (such as excessive promotion of your website) is not allowed, nor is any kind of disruptive behavior towards contestants or forum users. If we take notice of such behavior we reserve the right to disqualify your submission(s). Forum rules apply; depending on the severity, you might be banned from this contest and all the following ones.

-Once the voting period is over, the fanarts will be ordered according to the sum of all points received, from highest to lowest, and the winner fanart will be the one with most points. In case of a tie, the fanarts will be ordered according to the value of the highest vote received. In case the highest votes have equal value, they will be ordered according to the value of the second highest vote, and so on.

As an example, if four persons have voted and fanart A has received 15,7,3,1 points, fanart B has 14,8,3,1, and fanart C has 14,8,2,2, then A wins over B and B wins over C.

-If the previous method fails (if two or more fanarts in a tie have the same exact assignment of points) the community will decide whether to leave it to luck (using a true random number generator https://www.random.org/) or hold a second vote only on the tied submissions. If the second vote fails again, the winner will be left to luck.

-You are allowed to edit your votes at any time during the voting period, but not after (the thread will be locked to prevent editing, this is why you must be a forum user to vote).

-The forum community reserves the right to cancel or suspend the competition at any time, and shall not be liable for any damage that is outside our control; you should always keep in mind the dangers intrinsic in posting any sensitive information/material in a public forum.

-There will be only one winner fanart, one second place and one third place each month. The prize holders will be notified directly in the relevant threads or by PM if they are forum users, or through the contact method provided beforehand if they are not users.

List of prizes (may be subject to future changes or additions):

-(Only for forum users) Modified user rank for a month
-Featured in official YouTube video

SECOND PLACE
-(Only for forum users) Modified user rank for a month

good work in composing rules!

I think Jatsko (or maybe even Mateusz?) won't mind if he makes small announce about competition in his Tumbrl/video/etc.?
That would help very much! me think

I will make a thread soon :)
I'm undecided whether to make a thread for each competition or just one for submissions and another one for voting. I'll probably go with the latter. For people not in the forum, it'll be enough to tell any of us through Tumblr, Reddit, Youtube, the livestreams, etc. to post the link to their fanart here, and their preferred contact method in case they win any prize.

As I said, anyone can participate, so if you guys have a friend or family who happens to like Mateusz's games they are welcome too.

I hacked Mateusz's computer and found it in the secret SubEngine folder, mwahahaha >:D

kidding XD I made it using what I learned from Mateusz's livestreams. It's far from perfect but you can think of it as my little contribution to the competition, since I won't have time this month to make a full fanart.
