I'd estimate that "some" games are connected to the Submachine World, but, like Vortex has said, it could have been a tribute to the Series.

I really think this is Debunked though because, in games like Aurora and Trader of Stories, there is no themes of Submachine, and there is no theme of a Player working his way through a place where time and space blends.

As WorldIsQuiet was arguing in the other thread, there are themes, like Lost and The Matrix within Submachine, but those aren't parts of the main storyline, they're mostly found in SNEE.

Submachine is an entity of itself, so relating it to any other movie or game, especially other Pastel Games, I believe, serve no purpose because there's no need to crossover the games, Submachine does well on its own.

They are probably meant as references, I would say. Like the chair for instance, it is rather iconic.

and also a machine that can create almost anything (really? humans too...)

jomarcenter the machine can't make humans, read this quote the "fake" Toten said.

[Coversation between Agent Kara and "fake" Karl von Toten]
Karl: Do you know what this machine is? What is so special about it.

Kara: It brings our thoughts to reality. It creates out of nothing.

Karl: True. But can it create a functional human being?

Kara:Of course not...that means you're not...

Karl: Real? Of course not. Go and find me Agent Kara.[/quote]

You can copy a machine, but you can't copy a person who already exist.

The Chair, that would make sense. The Shield, that too. But the Device that Karl von Toten was working on in the end of the Game, that is another thing. Plus the Shadow Light Door, there something going on with that passageway.

If he were to recycle art from a previous game for a Device for Karl von Toten to be working on in the ending cut scenes he could have used that Device that brings down the periscope in Fog Fall 1.

The outside of Karl von Toten study. If Materusz wanted us to used the machine to get the fake Karl von Toten up before we could leave the room, he could have any number of different ways for us not to escape the Study. Like when we turn the Key in the Lock Door it opens up a hidden space in the wall that held the "t" button. Or have the "t" button slide out from under the Door when we turn the Key.

But the Endless Void? Materusz had something Plan when he put that in the game.

You can copy a person who already exists, that's the point - It brings our thoughts to reality. The "fake" Toten is "living" proof.

But there were already too many Submachine references to just jump into the Fog Fall storyline, that would then bring Fog Fall into the mix and add more confusion. It was tributing Submachine alone.

You're forgetting something:

Quote:
This game is a cooperative creation with Karol Konwerski, who is the story writer of the series

It's Karol's story, Mateusz has no involvement in these plot devices. Link: http://www.pastelportal.com/stories/covert-front/

It's all Karol's plot, you can't pin it all on Mateusz's shoulders solely.
