there's a whole Submachine-videos subculture on the Internet that I'm just discovering now o_O
I guess I shouldn't be surprised since the game is >10 years old, but I wonder why I didn't search before XD

How the graph works:

Personal notes:

This game hands basically all the content to you immediately upon starting the game, and the main goal is the first thing to be established: Gather the four triangular keys hidden somewhere in the basement. The four keys can be taken in whatever order you desire, so there is a huge emphasis on player choice.

While the triangles can be taken out of order, each triangle has different difficulty levels, so the likely order the player is going to obtain the triangles are:

1: The lower left triangle: All that is needed is to raise all four cubes using the raising mechanic of the bells wisely. No keys needed.

2: The lower right triangle: Three separate switches need to be turned on to activate this triangle, can be taken in whatever order you wish.

3: The upper right triangle: Three locks must be unlocked sequentially to get this triangle. While the valve can be inserted into the pipe before the pipe code has been correctly entered, the valve only blasts the pipes after having inserted the code correctly.

4: The upper left triangle: Four locks must be unlocked sequentially for the final triangle. After using the spoon on the electrical circuit a switch reveals itself which opens passage to a wisdom gem (this was not the case in the original release of submachine).

That's pretty much it. A short and simple game, can be a bit overwhelming with all the options in the beginning but once you've got the first and second triangle and gathered the keys, the game becomes a lot more straightforward with only two possible paths to follow.

Tune in tomorrow for the dungeon graph breakdown of Submachine 2: the Lighthouse
