Re: Meditations

On the after life/value of human life issue, it is interesting the spread of opinions we have. There is, of course, no objective way to determine any of these opinions, nor whether there is or is not an after life. I think we can learn from each other's perspectives on this issue. I often wonder if...

Re: Meditations

Truth be told, there got to be something on the other side. We humans are too complexs, too beaityful, too great to just die out like a ordinarry object, What is complex to you? How do you define it? Is it quantitative? Is there a limit on how complex something must be in order to merit an afterlif...

Re: Meditations

@ Raxas I can also see the appeal of witnessing the milestones of humanity, but I'm not really convinced that the human mind could take it. I've always wanted more life in my years, and not more years in my life. I can agree with that. If I'm not gonna live that long I might as well do the most wit...

Re: Meditations

Wikipedia can sometimes be a good source of information. Just check it's citations. It also depends on what page you're viewing. I guarantee the page for the Clausius-Clapeyron Equation has been vandalized far less times than the page for Adolf Hitler has. I personally don't understand why anyone wo...

Re: Meditations

]If you go on Tumblr, there's this post that talks about a person dying and being reincarnated into every person who ever was, is and will be, and I found that even more interesting - Could we really be our family and friends at a different stage in life? http://media.fukung.net/images/29879/8913b8...

Re: Meditations

Its more complex than it looks. With this truth, Complexes things are more simple to me than certain simple things in life. Like the movie the Ring. It made more senses to me like that (snap fingers) than something else that I was dealing with, which was more simpler. Trust me, Its got more meaning...

I don't believe anyone said that.
I apologize for offending you. You'll have to excuse my frustration with your unwillingness to discuss your philosophies with us. We were genuinely curious.

Re: Meditations

It is probably best that we abandon this line of discussion, as it would appear that we have arrived at the conclusion that World is too busy living in his own little world (hah), and isn't willing to come down to Earth and be level with us little plebeians. The only place this conversation can real...

Re: Meditations

O Ye of Little Vision. Whether or not you try not to be patronizing matters not, because this sort of response does come across that way. If you wish to show us that you do indeed respect us and our world views, it would be in your benefit to openly debate the points he made. After all, if your und...

Re: Meditations

Alas! The Truth has been altered. I have failed. Excuse me if this comes across as crass but I do hope that you are not implying that you believe you have discovered and are the sole keeper of an absolute truth. No, we get your point about borders. I think he's trying to imply that our thoughts on ...
